When you find a site called English Essays, you’d expect it to be based in the UK and understand the needs of UK students. However, it’s actually in the US. This set the tone of the review because there’s the immediate feeling that you aren’t quite sure where the service’s expertise lies.

Services

It is quite difficult to find out what services the site offers. Most clearly state which type of assignments they can handle, but English Essays hide their services in the ‘How it works’ page. This doesn’t help a student. A clearly marked section dedicated to explaining the type of assignments they can provide would make more sense and is what most essay writing sites do. We wanted to order a chapter of a dissertation as the test of their services and it wasn’t until you scroll right down on the ‘How it works’ page that you see any mention of dissertations. It’s wouldn’t be surprising that people give up on this site given the lack of clarity!

Prices

The price structure was clearly set out; in fact, that was a prominent feature on the site, suggesting that they’re targeting people who consider pricing more important than other aspects of the service. The good thing about this page is that they make it very easy to estimate how much your paper will cost, depending on the criteria you set such as time to write the paper and the level you want. Prices are also very reasonable if you can set a longer deadline – for example, a high school essay with a 20-day deadline costs $11.30 per page, while for a Master’s level it is $23.90.

Discounts

There is a 15% discount off your first order. Englishessays however, does not reward repeat custom rewarded but focuses on trying to attract new customers. There are times when a student needs help quite frequently, and they appreciate being able to save some money if they’re using the same site on more than one occasion but English Essay discount codes are non-existent.

Quality

You can choose from a lot of different levels when you buy an essay from this site, ranging from high school to PhD. This means that you won’t have to pay for a higher quality than you really need. However, there was disappointment with our order. We’d asked for Master’s level because although the test sample was for an undergraduate dissertation, we wanted to see if paying for higher quality would result in a superior paper. There were some errors in the chapter that was delivered, which we really wouldn’t expect from a Master’s level piece of work. There were insufficient references and the resources were basic; not really in any recognized citation style. There was also only a short bibliography.

Customer Support

This being an American site, customer support is aimed towards customers in the US, at least as far as phone support is concerned. When we had a couple of queries, we had to use live chat, as there was only a free phone number for American customers. It would be nice if the site would recognize that not all users are in the US. Sometimes you want to talk to support directly; live chat can be a bit anonymous. It also wasn’t very clear if there was email support.

Conclusion

We have to be fair and say that the experience wasn’t terrible, but then there was nothing in our dealings with English Essays that would make us advise you to use them over any other service. The fact is that there are hundreds of sites like this, and there is nothing about this one that makes it stand out.
